Membership Process

This is the B-CC IWLA Membership Application Form HERE

  1. Download the application form
  2. Completely fill out the form (ignore the requested signatures)
  3. Save the completed form in its original MS Excel format
  4. Email the completed application ASAP to:
  1. Find our next membership meeting, which falls on the 3rd Wednesday of every month, on our chapter web calendar HERE

The B-CC IWLA chapter is in the process of amending its requirements regarding in-person / Zoom as pertains to the attendance of prospective members at monthly membership meetings

For the time being at least, the chapter will accept Zoom attendance for their first 2 meetings, but prospective members must attend their third monthly meeting to be sworn-in by the membership

In-person meetings retain a Zoom component, so that members may attend meetings remotely to stay in touch … in real time … with chapter business

Zoom invitations are sent out with the monthly newsletter, and login information
is posted in the calendar item for each meeting as well HERE

Once you have emailed your application and attended monthly meetings on Zoom, your membership process continues with Item #s 3, 4, 5, & 6 below

  1. After filling out and submitting the above form. Print a copy. 
  2. Bring your printed form to your first dinner meeting (always the 3rd Wednesday of the month @ 6:30pm … menus are in the monthly newsletters, which you can access from the home page)
    1. Get the signatures from sponsoring members (plenty at the meetings)
    2. Get Initials verifying your attendance
    3. Submit the completed, signed, & sponsored application to the Membership Secretary
    4. Approach the Membership Secretary at your 2nd meeting (membership or Board of Governors meeting) to get your application initialed for attendance

  1. After second dinner meeting, your completed, signed, sponsored, & initialed application will be taken by the Membership Secretary to the chapter Board of Governors for approval the following week]
  2. Upon approval of your application by the Board of Governors, you will be called to attend a third dinner meeting where you will be sworn in, you will pay the appropriate fees, and you will then be a probationary member for one year
  3. After one year, a probationary member shall become a regular member if the member has been compliant with all the provisions of the by-laws and has performed the requirement of two full work days or 16 volunteer hours
  4. Ongoing memberships run from January to December of each single calendar year. New memberships may be prorated based on time of year each member joins: See the breakdown & proration of new-member fees here: New Member Fees
