Local Event: Hometown Habitat – Stories of Bringing Nature Home
The Izaak Walton League of America is partnering with the Muddy Branch Alliance, the City of Gaithersburg, and the Chesapeake Bay Trust to host a film screening and discussion panel for Hometown Habitat – Stories of Bringing Nature Home. You can register for the event at this link.
The event will feature a follow-up panel discussion featuring experts in regenerative landscaping and stormwater management. We encourage you to attend both events but attendance at both is not required to participate in one or the other.
The film screening will be a virtual event. You can watch it from the comfort of your home, at your convenience, anytime between 8 AM Friday, February 26th, 2021 and midnight Sunday, February 28th, 2021. The follow-up panel discussion will be a virtual event held on March 2nd from 7-8 PM.
Funding for these events is provided by the City of Gaithersburg and the Chesapeake Bay Trust. The film screening is limited to 100 households and priority seating will be given to residents of the City of Gaithersburg. If additional seats are available, we will offer them to other registrants. If multiple members of your household wish to attend the screening and panel, please register once and watch together.
The panel discussion is an opportunity to bring your enthusiasm and questions, and to learn more about how to make your yard beautiful, create a haven for butterflies and birds, and help the Chesapeake Bay!
