Archery Range Report – July 2020

Jack Mandel, Committee Chair [email protected]

The Target Bag Range is open for business from sunrise to sunset 365 days a year. We have successfully reopened after the county shutdown with some basic commonsense social distancing guidelines. We now require a simple sign-in at the Range Patio steel box with a small suggested donation.

The range is open to all members, and it can be used in the absence of Range Officers, but if you have not used the range before, please contact me via email before your first visit, so we can go over safe use practices.

The 3-D Range has hosted four events this month, and we have had phenomenal success! New members, experienced archers, families and, most importantly, youth archers have been hiking through our well maintained trails and shooting at life sized targets in record numbers. Families have set up picnics and beginning archers have been given instruction, and we have hosted many potential new members’ very first archery experience. 3-D shoots are sched- uled for July 5th, 18th, and 19th from 9:00am – 1:00pm; please join the fun!

We plan to hold two seminars on the weekend; one in August, one in September for beginning archers. Exact dates and times TBD.

We will be updating the Archery pages on the website more fre- quently and plan to post 3-D scores in the near future.
