Archery Update – April 2020
By Jack Mandel
We are closed until further notice as per Chapter policy and State mandates.
Leading up to the shutdown, we had several very productive meetings discussing improvements to the ranges, targets and trails. We have much tree work to do, and Marc Bouchard has made a huge effort with his chainsaw and sweat already.
The tractor is being well cared for by Evan; we are starting a maintenance log and would love to get a hold of any other records pertaining to the machine if someone can point us in the right direction.
Deborah B. and her crew plan to keep the Introductory Archery program going once we reopen.
All in attendance at the last meeting agreed that a logical definition of an Archery Range Officer would simply be any committee member who attends a Range Safety Meeting, date TBD.
Marc Bouchard has put into writing a coherent and relatively comprehensive list of operating procedures for range, trails and shoots based on our meeting discussions. This document will be made available to all committee members via the gorgeous new website within a few weeks.
Ron Marchessault has uploaded our 3-D Shoot dates to the Calendar online; we decided on trying more dates at reduced hours (morning only).
To be a committee member, please contact me, Jack Mandel at jmandeldesign@gmail.com and/or Marc Bouchard at combat750@gmail.com.
