
Introduction to Hunting Seminar 2025

Are you interested in hunting, but don’t know where to start, join us to learn about conservation and ethical behavior, the five W’s and How of hunting, what is hunting success, preparing to go hunting, techniques and skills for being in the woods, trailing game, animal habitats and habits, choosing a treestand location, safety and first aid, hunting apps, being skunked, what can you learn when you miss, advantages and disadvantages of hunting companions, choosing an appropriate bow, long gun or muzzleloader and more. There will be plenty of time for questions.
We will meet briefly by the Chapter House and do fieldwork in the morning. Afternoon we will be based in the Chapter House. Please review the available slots below and click on the button to sign up.
This seminar does not replace the required Hunter Education course but is to supplement that course and to expand one’s hunting knowledge.
The cost is $ 15 to cover materials. Participants should bring lunch and wear clothes for outdoor walking and going through briars
