How to Join the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Chapter of IWLA
Learn about our Chapter
We’re excited that you’re considering membership in the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Chapter. Becoming part of our community means connecting with people who care about conservation, outdoor traditions, and simply enjoying time in nature.
Prospective members are invited to our monthly dinner meeting. Please arrive at the Chapter House around 6:00 PM so we can meet you. The dinner meeting is on the 3rd Wednesday of each month. It’s a relaxed way to meet members, ask questions, and get a feel for our community. We also host monthly tours of the grounds, ranges, and other facilities so you can see what membership offers. These are usually the 3rd Saturday of the month, but check the calendar for the next tour date.
If you can’t attend the dinner meeting we offer a number of alternative ways to get to know each other. These include the New Member Tour, Heritage Day, Family Campout, Christmas Party, New Years Brunch Party, Wild Game Dinner, Hunter Education Class, Conservation Education Dinner, Spring/FallCleanup Day and Monthly Chapter House Cleanup.

After approval you will attend a third dinner meeting where you’ll be sworn in as a new member. Please be prepared to pay your first-year dues and one-time fees at this time (check, cash, or credit card accepted). Your one-year probationary period begins after swearing-in.
