We’re excited that you’re considering membership in the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Chapter. Becoming part of our community means connecting with people who care about conservation, outdoor traditions, and simply enjoying time in nature.
Start with a Visit
Prospective members are warmly invited to our monthly dinner meeting. Please arrive at the Chapter House around 6:00 PM so we can meet you. The dinner meeting is on the 3rd Wednesday of each month. It’s a relaxed way to meet members, ask questions, and get a feel for our community. We also host monthly tours of the grounds, ranges, and other facilities so you can see what membership offers. These are usually the 3rd Saturday of the month, but check the calendar for the next tour date
Attend Two Dinner Meetings
Your membership process involves attending three of our monthly dinner meetings. When you arrive, look for the easel with a QR code; scan it and record your attendance on the linked form so we can log your visit. Note, you don’t have to eat at the dinner meeting, just attend. Also, its BYOB.
Submit Your Application
Submit your application at any time during the process by clicking the button on the left and filling the application form. You will receive an email confirming the next steps.
Board Review and Approval
Your application will be reviewed by the Board of Governors at their next meeting. We’ll let you know the outcome and confirm the next steps.
Swearing-In at Your Third Meeting
After approval you will attend a third dinner meeting where you’ll be sworn in as a new member. Please be prepared to pay your first-year dues and one-time fees at that time (check, cash, or credit card accepted). Your one-year probationary period begins after swearing-in.
Full Membership
After successfully completing your probationary year, you’ll become a full member with all privileges
