We are pleased to offer a variety of covered shooting stations.
Pistol Range:6 firing positions at 25 ft, 50 ft, 25 yards, and 50 yards
Rifle Range: 9 firing positions at 50 yards and 100 yards.
With over 1,700 shooters annually, the R&P Range is one of only three public outdoor shooting ranges in Montgomery County. More than 120 members serve as trained Range Officers, ensuring safety and smooth operation.
· Members: $8 per visit (must show membership card)
· Guests: $10 per visit (must be escorted, sign a hold harmless agreement)
· Annual Range Card: $40 (unlimited weekend visits)
· “Dine & Shoot”: Members $20 / Guests $25
The range usually runs March through late November for Chapter Members and their guests.
· Saturdays: 10 AM – 4 PM
· Sundays: 10 AM – 4 PM
· 3rd Wednesday: 4 PM – 6 PM
The Rifle & Pistol Range is an integral part of BCC-IWLA’s conservation mission. New generations of hunters, scouts, and outdoor enthusiasts train at the range, which is also used for public Hunter Safety Education classes. These classes are advertised in the newsletter and will be posted on our website.
We offer a variety events throughout the year such as black powder rifle demonstration, shooting competitions and rifle sight-in day. These events are advertised in the newsletter and will be posted on our website.
Depending on age and experience, we offer two programs: Air Rifles for ages 8+ and .22 caliber rifles for ages 12+. As well as training and taking part in competitions, these programs also offer an entry way into our Biathlon Program
Biathlon Practice is held Saturday mornings (7:30–9:00 AM from late March to early November at the Rifle and Pistol Range and focuses on both running and marksmanship with .22 caliber rifles.
Our course includes a five 1-kilometer loops with four shooting stops:
· Stops 1 & 3: Prone shooting
· Stops 2 & 4: Off-hand shooting
