What to Bring:
· Tent + stakes (and hammer), Flashlights/headlamps, Bug spray, sunscreen, medications or toiletries, weather-appropriate clothing, Chairs or blankets (for sitting around the fire)
Facilities:
· The Chapter House is open all weekend for bathrooms, shelter, and gathering.
Activities & Food:
· All major meals and drinks are provided (Saturday cookout, Sunday breakfast). Let us know about special dietary needs. We do our best to accommodate.
· We provide fishing gear and materials for all activities and volunteers are on hand to guide especially with tent setup, fishing or crafting activities.
We are always looking for volunteers to help out. Whether setting up activities, helping with food prep, or just helping new campers in general, there is always stuff to do, and you get volunteer hours for doing it. Reach out to the Events Committee Chair (eventschair@bccilwa.org)
Evening activities vary with the seasons. In the spring, campers enjoy a hike with glow-sticks through the Cathedral of Pines to the Big Pond. In the fall, the campout takes a spooky turn; Halloween-themed scavenger hunts, haunted trails, and a creepy cabin crawl filled with surprises. Some years feature glow-in-the-dark laser tag or other games to keep the kids (and adults) active and entertained.
