DESCRIPTION:The primary mission of the B-CC IWLA Summer Biathlon is a safely run program \nRange safety is paramount. DESCRIPTION:From mid-Spring through late summer\, we open our two 3-D courses through the Archery Woods from 9am to 1pm. The courses are generally open for members and the public to shoot (small fee) on weekends. B-CC Archery Range Officers may shoot during any daylight hours (no fee) \n\n\n\nThe 3-D courses include 20-30 target IBO style set ups featuring a wide variety of targets ranging from raccoon to elk and something from the prehistoric age. Your shots will range from 15 to 50 yards in distance with some shots taken from our elevated platform \n\n\n\nYou are invited to shoot both courses with a single fee\, which gives you 50+ targets to shoot! It is not uncommon to see wildlife on our courses like deer\, turkey\, squirrel\, and fox

SUMMARY:Summer R&P Biathlon Practice (7:30am-9am)
DESCRIPTION:The primary mission of the B-CC IWLA Summer Biathlon is a safely run program \nRange safety is paramount. A rolled ankle on the run course is acceptable\, but a glitch on the range is not \nWithin the bounds of range safety\, the secondary mission is to provide a venue for fun and comradery \nOur goal is to expand the number of participants so we that we fill both the small and big ends \nTo that end\, members please advertise to all the athletes you know – runners\, LAX\, soccer\, triathletes\, etc. \nB-CC IWLA Biathlon Practice consists of (5) 1-kilometer loops and 4 shooting stops at the range \n\nShooting stops 1 & 3 are from the prone position\nStops 2 & 4 are off-hand\n\nBolt action .22 caliber\, iron-sight rifles firing .22LR standard-velocity ammunition are the standard for summer biathlon \nFor biathlon practice\, any rifle chambered for .22LR is acceptable\, but standard-velocity ammo is mandated for preservation of the steel targets \nIf you have any questions about biathlon\, or a desire to be on the B-CC IWLA Summer Biathlon Program mailing list\, contact Steve Eschholz at FitnessCrafters@earthlink.net or (240) 472-6512 (text)
