Spring Interpretive Walk in the Woods

“Spring Interpretive Walk In The Woods”
Butch Mezick and his crew of B-CC IWLA hosts will lead an “Interpretative Walk In The Woods” starting at 1:00pm
The entire event should last approximately two hours to two & one-half hours
Participants will meet in the main chapter parking lot. We recommend that participants use insect repellent and bring drinking water
The walk begins with a steep uphill trail climb requiring average fitness and mobility
The hike aims to educate, motivate, and inspire the participants to see and comprehend the natural world through presentations on:
- soil
- invasive plant species,
- chestnut tree restoration
- litter
- tree identification
- deer, turkeys, and other animals
- water, photosynthesis, and much more …
There will also be a fun field-test at the end of the walk
